Our Founder
Horst Wasel
After many years in long term international industrial service and leadership, Horst knew he wanted to do more to support the hard-working individuals that are the backbone of this industry. Horst Wasel Consulting was born from the desire to contribute and give something back to customers, company teams, and individuals throughout his extensive business career.

Horst earned his degree from the Technische Hochschule Cologne Mechanical Engineering -Diplom Ingenieur Konstruktionstechnik in January of 1981.

Horst worked in R&D at Mannesmann-Demag in Duisburg, Germany during his first years in the machinery-rotating equipment industry from 1981 to 1983.

Horst started his long and fruitful Atlas Copco Career in 1983 when he joined Atlas Copco Energas in Cologne, Germany as R&D Mechanical Development.
After going through various management positions - such as Testfield and Packaging Manager - at Atlas Copco Energas, he moved to the United States in 1999, where he became General Manager for Atlas Copco Rotoflow, a company focusing to build radial expanders for the Oil & Gas business.
In 2001 he moved to the Netherlands as General Manager for the Atlas Copco Customer Center focusing on sales and service.
In 2012 he was appointed Atlas Copco Quality Air President and he returned to the United States in 2014 as the Divisional President of the Atlas Copco Medical Gas Solution Division.
He moved to Singapore in 2017 to fulfill the role & mission of Vice President of Atlas Copco South-East Asia & Oceania.

In 2002, Horst moved back to the USA, residing in Houston, TX to lead the Rental Organization of Prime Energy under Atlas Copco - RSC Rental Service as their Vice President.
With the divestment of RSC in 2006, he moved to Belgium as the Vice President of Marketing Rental. This later led to the creation and development of the Atlas Copco Specialty Rental Division in 2007; Horst was appointed President of this division.
